You no longer feel like you have anything in common with a group of friends. It doesn't matter if they've changed or you've undergone a personal transformation. Moving on to greener pastures will be liberating. It's possible this break will cause you to lose financial standing. There are worse fates. If you are forced to look for a new job, explore opportunities involving education, travel or publishing. You need work that offers lots of intellectual stimulation. Carrying out the same tasks each day will bore you to tears. You'll clash with someone who seems to want to publicly humiliate you. There's no reason to be a human punching bag. The sooner you stand up for yourself, the happier you will be. It may be necessary to leave your job. Subjecting yourself to continual abuse is undermining your health. You can't lose any more sleep. As soon as you leave this toxic situation, you'll feel much better. Give yourself time to find a job that makes you feel supported and appreciated.
