CALM
WORDS WHEN YOU NEED THEM MOST
London
Lesbian and Gay Switchboard took its first calls
on 4th March 1974. The phones have not stopped ringing
since. Over 2 million times, in fact, with Switchboard
receiving almost 120,000 calls last year alone.
Whatever the call their volunteers are there to
offer a listening ear at the end of the phone and
give non-directive support, referrals and information.
You can help them to keep on listening by becoming
a Friend of Switchboard from as little as £5
per mont
h. They rely heavily on donations to provide
their services, so why not make a special gift?
If you think you might be able to help, would like
to become a volunteer or would simply like to find
out more then visit www.llgs.org.uk
for more information or call 0207 7837 6768.
